In this video, I'm taking my beloved ClockworkPi uConsole to the next level! The stock Raspberry Pi CM4 is great, but it can feel a little sluggish for modern tasks. Today, we're swapping it out for the brand new, much more powerful Raspberry Pi CM5 (8GB version).
Join me as I walk through the entire upgrade process step-by-step, from the unboxing and teardown to a crucial discussion on thermal pads and heat dissipation. The goal is to get a massive performance boost, but the results of the first boot-up were genuinely surprising! Does the old software image work? How much faster is it really? Watch to find out!
If you've been thinking about upgrading your uConsole or are just curious about the new Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, this video is for you.
