Auditory-Verbal Therapy sessions at Sound Steps are planned around singing, playing, reading and chatting. Watch this first session with a ten month old, as her mother glows with the understanding that her baby with a profound hearing loss, is listening.
In my first session with families at Sound Steps, my focus is on demonstrating as much as possible that the baby or young child is listening and responding to song, sound and spoken language. The excitement of parents when they first observe this, is special.
