🔹 Greek Morality vs. Machiavelli’s Realism
Greek philosophers like Plato and Aristotle believed in eternal moral values—truth, non-violence, kindness, and justice—principles later embraced by Gandhi. Plato’s Noble Lie also reflected this moral absolutism.

🔹 Where Does Machiavelli Stand?
Unlike the Greek idealists, Machiavelli viewed politics independently of moral constraints. He acknowledged that power often requires violence, deception, and strategic manipulation—raising the question: Was Machiavelli immoral, or moral?

🔹 Modern Thinkers on Machiavelli
📖 Michael Oakeshott: Called him immoral and the "Teacher of Evil."
📖 Sabine, Berlin, Foster: Argued he was morally neutral, neither immoral nor moral.
📖 Isaiah Berlin: Suggested two different moral standards—one for the Prince, another for ordinary citizens.

🔹 Universal Egoism & Harari’s Perspective
Dr. Mishra also discusses Sabine’s "Universal Egoism" and references Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens, connecting Machiavelli’s ideas with broader historical trends.
