Intonation & Compensation on 12 String Acoustic Guitars (Read Description if Interested in Saddle)

***I cannot make a saddle for a guitar unless I have it in front of me. I have gotten a lot of emails and calls about this video asking if I can make one of these saddles to be mailed out to different parts of the world and I would like to bullet point some reasons why that would be inadvisable:

-I need to have the saddle slot measured so that I can make a tight fit. This must be done within the .001 of an inch.

-The string spacing, particularly between the primary and active strings is very tight and must be precise in order to work. These spacing are not uniform across all guitars and I may send you one that doesn't fit.

Saddles should -ABSOLUTLY be installed as part of a full setup and I can't do that unless I can holistically address the guitar's action at the nut, neck, belly and look for other issues that may cause problems for playability.

-I take a lot of pride in my work, and to be honest, I don’t want to send parts I have carved out into situations I don’t have control over. In other words, I would not want to send out a saddle, have one of the above issues come up, or some other problem and have someone be told "Drew did this" because that would not be good word of mouth for my trade and would give people some inaccurate impressions of what good work looks like and what kind of work I do.

***If you can get the guitar to me, I can make you a saddle. If not, I recommend you go to a local shop.
