Diving Amed Bali: Exploring Bunutan’s Giant Barrel Sponges (Fish ID Tracker)

Ready to see the best of Bunutan without the quiet moments? I’m Regis Boileau, SSI Dive Instructor, and in this 30-minute edit, I’ve kept the action high and the visuals stunning.

Conditions were legendary for this dive: 20m visibility and no current. This allowed us to hit 25 meters deep to see the "forest" of Giant Barrel Sponges. You’ll see huge Garden Eels, curious Batfish, and some beautiful stingrays gliding through the "fish soup.”
We wrap up the dive at 10m and 5m, where the gorgonian fans and coral gardens are practically glowing in the Bali sun. It’s easily the best dive of the season so far.
