Hi everyone and welcome to my channel, today I'll share my most favourite projects of this year! I haven't included garden and Christmas projects here, will probably make separate compiled videos for this some day)) and this one is all about making DIY home decor!

Here is the homemade chalk paint recipe:
1 part white clay (caolin). I've used cosmetic white clay
1 part water, you can use less water, it is needed to premix with clay and get a smooth mass with no lumps
3 parts paint. You can use any water-based paint, I've used latex paint for walls in the video.

I used epoxy putty and cold welding to assemble the lazy susan, in fact you'll need only one of these or any other good strong glue like E-6000. The ones I've used are both epoxy based glues so hold really great! Cold welding is like peanut paste, and epoxy putty is much thicker, resembles kids modelling clay. I like putty more as it helps get really clean seams, no leaks and everything.

the recipe of homemade texture paste:
2 tablespoons of white glue (or Mod Podge)
2 tablespoons of acrylic paint (you can use white or any other color to get a colored paste)
1/2 glass of baking soda or talcum powder (soda will make a coarser texture, and talc is for a more fine one)
wooden chips bookends:
I used a package of Weber Whisky wood chips for all three projects:

and here are some cheaper options:
