I made him using this exact method!
There is a Blender plugin called SEAMS TO SEWING PATTERN that does this same thing but faster! (I mention it at the very end of the video) I haven't had any luck with running/using it myself but I know others have used it succesfully! Please look into it!
This video can still be helpful regarding adding geometry for markings of seams and stuff.
I'm a beginner to sewing and don't know how to draft patterns other than thinking of them like UV maps, so I opted to try USING UV mapping to test making plush toys. It kinda works, even for a newbie like me!
This is a very crappy 0 editing "tutorial" showing how I've recently started dabbling in sewing by using my own 3D models or in the case of Parasect here: an existing one.
But I'm too busy trying to sew Buizel to test this pattern.
