During the mid-20th century, many glass manufacturers offered many patterns of glassware in milk glass (or white glass) in addition to clear or colored glass. Companies like Anchor Hocking, Federal Glass, Hazel-Atlas, Indiana Glass, Fenton Glass, Westmoreland, E.O. Brody and many others turned out countless pieces of milk glass dishes, bowls, vases, pitchers, relish trays, serving ware, cake plates and cake stands, and many other items. Most of the milk glass pieces were fairly inexpensive and sold at retailers like Woolworth, Kresge, Newberry, Kress, W.T. Grant, and others. Here we look at a few samples.
