7 of us planned an early April trip to Moab's White Rim trail. We finished the trail in about 6-7 hours and were able to set up camp before sun down. We had a great mix of bikes including a DRZ-400, DR-650, CRF300l, CRF300 Rally, TW200, XT250 and a Tenere 700. Everyone thought Murphys hogback was pretty easy this time of year, but Hard Scrabble made everyone pucker a bit. Many videos show people getting sucked into the sand wash, but luckily we crossed it early morning the second day and had no issues. We assume the sand held the night's moisture pretty well and made it easy on us. We all agreed that we should have traveled a little slower to take in more of the scenery. We kept a good pace because we didn't want to set up camp in the dark, but in the end didn't realize how much ground we were actually covering.
