Gotta Be U (originally titled “It’s Gotta Be U”) was originally produced by Tricky Stewart in 2005 for Jennifer Lopez’s Rebirth album. A singer named Camille ended up obtaining the song and recorded it for herself. Camille’s version has leaked featuring a rap from Cecille.

However, it ended up being reused for the Sugababes “Taller In More Ways” album. The track was reproduced by Dallas Austin. Some lyrics were also rewritten to fit the Sugababes. The song was also re-recorded in 2006 due to line-up changes in the group resulting in another version of the song. The song was also rumored to be released as a single by the Sugababes.
