Biking The Beauty Of Nova Scotia & PEI: Cycling Across Canada

Our cross-Canada cycling journey continues! After battling brutal headwinds and brake issues in Newfoundland, we reached Nova Scotia—where the chaos didn’t stop. From breakdowns at 4 AM to magical bike trails in PEI, this leg of our cross-Canada cycling trip was full of unforgettable moments.

We arrived in Nova Scotia after an early-morning ferry ride, only to have my back rack collapse, leaving us stranded for hours. While waiting for repairs, we took a one-day road trip through the breathtaking Cape Breton Island. Back on the road, we cycled quiet backroads, camped on a beautiful beach, and pushed through torrential rain and thunderstorms—only to face more brake issues! Thankfully, staying with Tyler's family and exploring Peggies Cove & Halifax made up for any discomfort.

PEI brought us much-needed tranquility. After fixing my bike again, the boys powered through headwinds and rain before we reunited to ride the stunning Confederation Trail. Aaron’s aunt and uncle welcomed us with lobster dinners and incredible hospitality, giving us a weekend to recharge. We wrapped up our time in PEI with amazing views before crossing the Confederation Bridge (by car, since bikes aren’t allowed) into our fourth province, New Brunswick.
