Tweed Jacket Reviews Christmas Special: 1993 Volkswagen Polo G40 - Lloyd Vehicle Consulting

In this review, suitably attired, we travel to Scotland to test a wonderful 1993 Volkswagen Polo (Mark 2 Facelift) G40 and see how practical it is, what it is like to drive and what it is like to own. Be prepared for more in-jokes for fans of a certain long-running spy film franchise (as usual), references to Peter Serafinowicz's seminal spoof science series Look Around You, an incredible amount of nostalgia, seriously heavy steering, a rather uncomfortable driving position, ridiculous performance, a very spartan level of equipment, more trouble than usual with negotiating speed bumps, a slightly feeble Christmas message, some nice genuine BBS alloy wheels and small LED warning lights... Nothing untoward, then!
