Dr. Amey Deshpande hails from Maharashtra and was a student of the Sri Sathya Sai Primary School, Prasanthi Nilayam from 1990 to 1993. He acquired his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Bangalore University. He then pursued Chartered Accountancy. He has worked briefly with Hewlett Packard in their Financial Services Centre at Bangalore. During this time, he was a member of the Brindavan Bhajan group and also a Brindavan Sevadal. In 2003, he enrolled for the MBA (Finance) programme at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
Thereafter, at Bhagawan’s behest, he registered for the MPhil programme in 2006 and was awarded the Gold medal in 2007, for distinction in MPhil. He completed his doctoral studies in 2016 in the
area of corporate strategy from the Department of Management and Commerce, Prashanthi Nilayam. During this period, he also taught the students of the MBA program, subjects including strategic management, corporate financial strategy, management control systems and the awareness program.
