This video describes the purpose, procedure, and clinical significance of a prenatal antibody titer. The procedure is performed on a pregnant patient's specimen at 2 to 4 week intervals to detect an increase in circulating antibody levels against fetal RBC antigen(s). All IgG antibodies are considered clinically significant, can cross the placenta, and warrant monitoring.
