الندوة الفلكية للتعريف بالسنة الدولية للتوعية بالكويكبات والدفاع الكوكبي عام 2029. عقدت هذه الندوة يوم 09 ديسمبر 2025م، بتنظيم من مركز الفلك الدولي في أبوظبي بالتعاون مع الجمعية الفلكية الأردنية. وقد حضر الندوة 157 مشاركا، وكان أكبر تجمع للحضور في نفس الوقت هو 90 مشاركا.

أفتتحت الندوة بمشاركات رسمية من ممثلين من الاتحاد الفلكي الدولي (IAU) ووكالة الفضاء الأمريكية "ناسا"، ومندوب من الأمم المتحدة، بالإضافة إلى ممثلين من مؤسسات فلكية عربية.

وتضمن برنامج الندوة سلسلة من المداخلات العلمية قدمها نخبة من أبرز الفلكيين العرب، تناولوا خلالها:
ماهية الكويكبات القريبة من الأرض وما قد تشكّله من مخاطر.
تصنيف هذه الكويكبات وطرق رصدها ودراسة مساراتها.
أهم وسائل الحد من أخطارها وسبل الاستعداد للدفاع الكوكبي.
عروضاً حول الجهود الرصدية التي تبذلها المراصد العربية في هذا المجال.

وفي الختام عقدت جلسة للأسئلة والنقاش، وتم الإعلان خلال الندوة عن اللجان المحلية في الأردن والإمارات الخاصة بالسنة الدولية.

The Astronomy Seminar Introducing the International Year of Asteroid Awareness and Planetary Defense 2029

This seminar was held on December 9, 2025, organized by the International Astronomy Center in Abu Dhabi in cooperation with the Jordanian Astronomical Society. A total of 157 participants attended the seminar, with a peak simultaneous attendance of 90 participants.

The seminar opened with official contributions from representatives of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), the U.S. space agency NASA, a United Nations representative, and representatives of various Arab astronomical institutions.

The seminar program included a series of scientific presentations delivered by a group of prominent Arab astronomers, during which they discussed:

The nature of near-Earth asteroids and the risks they may pose.

The classification of these asteroids and the methods used to observe them and study their trajectories.

The most important means of mitigating their hazards and ways to prepare for planetary defense.

Presentations on the observational efforts carried out by Arab observatories in this field.

At the conclusion, a session for questions and discussion was held, and the seminar announced the establishment of local committees in Jordan and the UAE for the International Year.
