How and why I use 21mm for street photography

I’ve taken some of my favourite photographs with a 21mm lens, and in this video, I'll explain why I prefer an ultra-wide angle for street photography. I’ll also share tips and techniques to help you get the most out of this type of lens. Additionally, I’ll show you some of my favourite books that feature ultra-wide-angle photography.

ZINES!!

We have just added two new Zines to our bookstore.

SHOWFIELD - Sarah G Ascough
In 2017, Sarah began her Showfield project, photographing the agricultural shows of Northern England. By 2019, she had published her first zine from the project, receiving rave reviews from notable photographers such as Tom Stoddart, Peter Dench, Martin Parr, and Homer Sykes. The zine was also accepted into the Martin Parr Foundation Library.

In this latest zine, Sarah updates the project with recent images alongside some classic photographs from the first publication.

21+6 - Jeff Ascough
In this zine, we have a collection of Jeff's dynamic street photographs taken with his beloved 21mm focal length lens. From south coast beaches to mid-winter rain in Manchester, the innovative perspective of the lens, combined with his shoot-from-the-hip style, results in a series of close-up, gritty, and unique images.
