TOVRAITA – THE DIMENSIONS TO SEEING WELL
Key Texts:
Jeremiah 1:12 – "Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it."
Genesis 13:14-15 – "Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art... for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever."
Proverbs 20:12 – "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them."
2 Corinthians 4:18 – "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
In Hebrew it is the word; TOVRAITA (טוֹב רָאִיתָה), pronounced [Tohv Rah-ee-tah] means "You have well seen."
Introduction
Day 1 focused on the power of seeing well. Today, we go deeper into the dimensions of seeing well—exploring the breadth, depth, and impact of vision in every aspect of life.
Anchor Thought: It’s not enough to see; you must see well in all dimensions to fully walk in God’s purpose.
Main Points
1. Seeing Far: Expanding Vision
Genesis 13:14-15 – Abram was commanded to look far and envision his inheritance.
Vision must stretch beyond current limitations and circumstances.
Illustration: God uses vision to elevate us above the immediate and mundane.
Application:
Ask God to expand your spiritual and practical vision.
Step out of comfort zones to see the possibilities God has prepared for you.
2. Seeing Near: Discernment in the Present
Proverbs 20:12 – "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them."
Vision is not just about the future; it includes clarity for present decisions and opportunities.
Example:
David’s ability to discern opportunities with Goliath and Saul.
Application:
Stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in daily choices.
Sharpen your focus on immediate tasks and relationships.
3. Seeing Upward: The Unfailing Example
Hebrews 12:2 – "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."
Psalm 34:5 – "They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed."
The Bible calls us to imitate Jesus and follow His example (AMPC).
Application:
Fix your gaze on Jesus as the perfect example of faith and endurance.
Learn from His life of obedience, humility, and victory.
4. Seeing Inward: Guarding the Heart
Proverbs 4:23 – "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
John 16:13 – "When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."
It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing (John 6:63).
This emphasizes a practical and dynamic walk with the Holy Spirit, not just a religious routine.
Application:
Regularly examine your heart and motives in light of God’s Word.
Cultivate intimacy with the Holy Spirit to guide your decisions and actions.
5. Seeing Beyond: Fixing on Eternal Realities
2 Corinthians 4:18 – Focus on the unseen, eternal truths rather than temporary distractions.
Example:
Stephen saw the heavens opened and Jesus standing at the right hand of God (Acts 7:55-56).
Application:
Align your pursuits with eternal values.
Spend time meditating on God’s Word to gain clarity on His eternal purpose for your life.
Benefits of the Dimensions of Seeing Well
1. Momentum:
Vision in all dimensions accelerates purpose (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
2. Staying Power:
Seeing beyond strengthens resolve during trials (Hebrews 12:2).
3. Focus:
Seeing near sharpens present actions and reduces distractions (Isaiah 50:7).
4. Spiritual Elevation:
Seeing far lifts you above mediocrity to pursue God’s greater plans (Genesis 13:14).
5. Confidence:
Seeing clearly removes fear and instills boldness to move forward (Numbers 13:30).
