🧂 Ingredients (for 3–4 servings):
Dal Mix:
2 tbsp Toor Dal (Arhar Dal)
2 tbsp Moong Dal (Yellow Split)
2 tbsp Masoor Dal (Red Lentils)
2 tbsp Chana Dal
1 tbsp Urad Dal (Split Black Gram)
Other Ingredients:
1½ tbsp Ghee or Butter
1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
1 medium Tomato (pureed or chopped)
1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 Green Chili (slit)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
½ tsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Garam Masala
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Fresh Cream
1 tbsp Butter
Fresh Coriander for garnish 🌿
Optional for richness:
1 tsp Kasuri Methi (crushed)
Pinch of Cardamom Powder
🍳 Method:
Wash all dals and soak for 30 mins.
Pressure cook with turmeric, salt & water (3 whistles).
In a pan, heat ghee — add cumin & onions; sauté till golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste, chili & tomato puree; cook till masala leaves oil.
Mix cooked dal, spices, cream & butter; simmer 5 mins.
Garnish with coriander and serve hot!
