✨ As we continue with season 4, join us for our Friday Feature Artist Interview with artist and traveller, Karen Stamper. Karen’s work has a playful, no nonsense toughness and celebrates the worn surfaces of harbours and urban shorelines. Through her work, Karen captures the essence of place and human presence, evoking the passage of time. While her compositions may appear abstract, recognisable elements remain.

We’ll explore how layering, cutting, distressing, and pulling apart all play pivotal roles in shaping each of her compositions and how a piece ‘speaks’ back to her as it develops.
