Parental Alienation is a mental health disorder usually seen in children of divorcing couples wherein one parent lies, manipulates, tutors or brainwashes the child in order to compel the child to reject the other parent.

It is happening all around us but we fail to recognize it since we dismiss it as parental conflict wherein the child has become collateral damage. While in reality it is a recognized form of severe child abuse, with outcomes at least as bad as physical & sexual abuse of children resulting in life-long handicap for the child and thus the society. Unfortunately, judicial and governmental apathy has led to Parental Alienation becoming a silent epidemic with more than 1,32,000 children being added to the alienated pool each year in India.

Therefore, in order to raise awareness about this form of heinous child abuse, we will be speaking with mental health professionals and legal experts from all across the world to understand its genesis, the tools or strategies used, its impact on children and the recommended strategies for treating it.
