🛒 Ingredients (2 servings)
250 g (9 oz) spaghetti
250–300 g (9–10 oz) shrimp (cooked, peeled, deveined)
1 can (400 g / 14 oz) tomato purée (or crushed tomatoes)
1 small onion
2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sweet paprika powder
½ tsp marjoram
50–100 ml (¼–½ cup) dry white wine
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt & pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
Finely dice the onion, chop or press the garlic, cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice.
Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
Stir in the tomato paste and roast briefly, then deglaze with white wine and let it reduce.
Add the tomato purée with a splash of water, stir well.
Season with sugar, paprika, marjoram, salt & pepper. Let simmer for 10–15 minutes.
Add the shrimp to the sauce and let them heat through over medium heat.
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the package instructions.
Add lemon juice to the sauce, adjust seasoning.
Serve the spaghetti topped with sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.
