Is DUCKSTATION BETTER Than REAL PS1 Hardware? (2025 Edition) - Affro's Curiosities

Welcome to Affro's Curiosities Season 8!

The PS1 is over 30 years old & since I last made my Duckstation vs Real PS1 Hardware video over a year ago, I figured it was time to make an updated take on the subject!

Today then, the two platforms will go head to head! I tested well over 30 titles to see what differences one could expect when playing PS1 games using an RGB SCART cable against Duckstation when utilising its many enhancement toggles!

As for the Tape footage, it was shot with the Sony Handycam CCD-TRV59E PAL Camcorder using the Sony Hi8 tapes & output using S-Video from the camera onto the Retroscaler 2x to capture the footage!
