Cutting a basque corset with collar
Pattern Pieces:
1. Front left (FL)
2. Front right (FR)
3. Back left (BL)
4. Back right (BR)
5. Bust gusset (BG)
6. Corset busk (CB)
7. Corset interlining (CI)
8. Collar (C)
Measurements:
1. Bust: 34-40 inches (86-102 cm)
2. Waist: 24-30 inches (61-76 cm)
3. Length: 14-18 inches (35.5-45.5 cm)
4. Shoulder slope: 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm)
5. Collar height: 2-4 inches (5-10 cm)
Cutting Steps:
Basque Corset:
1. Cut FL and FR with a curved or angled front edge.
2. Cut BL and BR with a straight or curved back edge.
3. Cut bust gusset to fit between FL and FR.
Collar:
1. Cut collar piece with a curved or angled edge.
2. Cut collar height to desired length.
Corset Busk:
1. Cut corset busk to length.
Sewing Steps:
1. Sew FL and FR together at sides.
2. Sew BL and BR together at sides.
3. Sew bust gusset to corset body.
4. Sew corset busk to center front.
5. Sew collar to neckline.
