Kamikaze Girls (Shimotsuma Story) is the lolita community's focal movie and novel. Starring Kyoko Fukada and Anna Tsuchiya, it tells the story of two girls, one a Yanki and one a Lolita, and how they reluctantly become rebellious friends against the world. Here, I discuss the film itself, the outfits within, and the story of its writer, Novala Takemoto.
