President Yoweri Museveni, who personally campaigned twice in the Rwenzori sub-region, appears to have consolidated support.
NRM candidates swept key parliamentary seats, including Bukonzo West, where veteran politician Dr. Crispus Kiyonga defeated opposition challenger Atkins Katisabe of the FDC.
