To the government, a good number of the Daasanach, a community tipped on the eastern shores of the Lake Turkana in Marsabit county, simply don't exist. Generations of them have been living without any legal form of identification. Without the legal right to work, vote, access to education, this community has few avenues for moving on up, the social and economic ladder, leaving generations upon generations to toil in poverty and obscurity.
