Comparison of Remo (Made in USA) and Asapura (Made in Japan) drumheads on bass drum and toms.
Heads are of similar design. The Asapura S2-MT tom heads are two ply 7mil. They are also available in both Light (6mil x2) and Heavy (7,5mil x2) versions. These are the "Medium" version .
The Asapura Kicka-Tack bass drum head is single ply 10mil w/built in dampening ring similar to a Remo PS3.
Video/sound recorded on ZOOM Q4. Mic/camera placement: 1,7 meters in front of drums. No sound processing whatsoever.
