For this winter trip, we decided to return to the Current River in Missouri to paddle the final section we've yet to see. This section begins in Van Burn Mo and concludes with our takeout in Doniphan Mo. Below Doniphan, we were told the river changes dramatically and becomes primarily farmland with far fewer features compared to its upper sections. The beginning of this trip passes through sections of the National Park, but the majority will take us through areas of private land and national forests. Nevertheless, it was still stunning. We had to be careful with our camp selections, however, as we observed some private property postings along the way and toward the last half of the trip. With this being said, there were still several areas offering awesome campsites. We hope you enjoy this one!
