TTC Orion VII HEV 1109 Hybrid Bus Ride

At the time of recording in August 2025, the retirement of the 2006 Orion VII HEV fleet at Mount Dennis Division was well underway with only buses 1021, 1064 and 1109 remaining in service. Having been transferred from Queensway to Mount Dennis, route 112 West Mall was intended to be served by New Flyer XDE40 buses to allow for the usage of geofencing technology to limit their speed within Renforth and Kipling Stations. This did not necessarily happen every day, with many Orion VII HEV buses making it onto this route, which they never would have had the opportunity to serve before. Enjoy the ride on route 112, from Gentian Drive east of Renforth Drive to Kipling Station. Recorded in August 2025 in 4K on a Sony A7riv.
