Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Roller / Slip test:
The Tacoma is known to be one of the best and most capable trucks off-road! Note that this Toyota is not equipped with a limited-slip differential or the famous Crawl mode. It also seems to perform better on LOW when only one wheel has traction! Leave the TRAC ( or TCS ) mode on in all situations. For the AUTO LSD mode in 2wd, note that it's not that great. It helps but only a little! A rear locker is better.

important note: The review is based on a 2021 Tacoma Trail, the 2022 Tacoma Trail moded was upgraded!

Also, they seem to have corrected the rear diff lock, no more Auto LSD! Tacoma Trail Edition gets upfitted with a standard locking rear differential to offer added traction when it’s needed most in slow-speed four-wheel-drive situations. Reinforcing the fact that some of the most important parts are the ones you don’t see, the undercarriage skid plates are borrowed from the TRD Off-Road grade to provide added protection.
