The Tamiya DT-02 MS was a limited edition of the Tamiya DT-02 Sand Viper. It was released stock with hop-up parts and special decals from the TRF driver Satoshi Maezumi in 2007. Same thing has been done to the Tamiya DF-03 Dark Impact and the Tamiya TT-02B Dual Ridge.

This is part 7 of my Tamiya DT-02 MS Sand Viper Project. The most silly part with the most unneccesary parts.

Basically a factory tuned/upgraded Tamiya DT-02 Sand Viper. It originally came without any tires and electronics. In the rebuild I used the following items:

The change from GPM Racing to 3Racing was a purely aesthetic choice. The anodized blue aluminium from 3Racing matches the color of the anodized blue aluminium of the Tamiya Parts. Furthermore and more importantly, since I am in need of some reinforcement of my Tamiya DT-03 I might as well use the GPM for the DT-03 (which they where designed for) and the 3Racing for the DT-02 (which they where designed for).

The 3Racing front bulk head and front shock tower was installed since I had previously broken my standard bulk head and since I was not too happy, visually, with the shock tower brace (which is a neccasary DT-02 mod).

The 3Racing aluminium front knuckle arm and the rear shock tower are, as far as I know, completely unneccesary and I installed these just to match the other parts, visually.

While the new upgrades probably won't affect any driving capabilities I hope to get some better steering with the Sanwa ERS-971 digital metal gear servo and the Tamiya High-Torque Servo Saver.
