Brown butter really is the secret to so many baked goods. It adds depth, richness, and irresistible nutty flavor to cookies, cakes, and bread. It's something simple yet feels like a luxury.

Ingredients:
Wet ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs (room temp)
2 tsp vanilla
Dry ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup White chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Heat butter over medium heat until it turns a golden yellow color. Cool the butter. As the butter cools, it will get darker in color.
2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder. Mix well.
3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the cooled butter. Mix until well combined, add in eggs and vanilla. Whisk until you get a light and creamy texture.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
5. Add in the white chocolate chips and mix until they are well incorporated.
6. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
7. Scoop 2 tablespoons of cookie dough onto the baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Cookies should be 2 inches apart.
8. Bake at 170° centigrade for 11 minutes.
9. Let the cookies cool for 10 minutes before transferring them on a wire rack.
