Join me as I ride my BMW R1250 GSA from North Wales to Northumberland for a weekend tour of the legendary Borderlands. Day One sets the tone for the whole trip—big distances, stunning scenery, and perfect riding weather thanks to an unusual September heatwave.
The route takes me past the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct for photos and lunch before I continue north through the beautiful and well-loved Buttertubs Pass. From there, it’s a smooth run up to Bellingham, where I’ll be camping for the weekend and using it as a base to explore the region.
