These are the 10 must-see places we recommend visiting in Jeju.

Sanji Lighthouse
We start the Jeju City exploration by going to Sanji Lighthouse which is located at Sarabong Park. It is Sanji Lighthouse, where you can see a picturesque sight of the coastal cliffs and the ocean! At Sanji Lighthouse, you can see the spectacular view of the broad ocean and Sarabong Volcanic Cone. Also, it is located near the city, so it has become a famous spot for field trips for students ranging from kindergarten children to high school students. It is playing a role not only as a lighthouse but also as a valuable tourism resource.

Iho Tewoo Beach:
Jeju’s beaches are beautiful both during the day and at night. Among these, there are beaches that are loved by many travellers. Iho Tewoo Beach is one such popular spot for photographers, travellers, locals… pretty much everyone. The red pony and the white pony lighthouses exude an exotic feel, especially when contrasted with the vast expanse of white sand. And take note, this is a beach that has been used by islanders for centuries. At low tide, you can spot the Wondam, a traditional fishing method that uses rock walls to trap fish when the water ebbs.

Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls
Must visit tourist site in the south of Jeju island is the Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls. There are 3 of them and our recommendation is to visit only the first two as the path to the third one is full of up and down stair paths and it is quite a journey from the first path.

Seonim-gyo bridge at Cheonjeyeon waterfalls was the highlight of the site. The bridge offers an amazing view of the waterfalls valley and the sea. Surprisingly the bridge is really steep. On the other side, you can find a park with a small temple that like the bridge offers breathtaking views.

Sangumburi Crater
Sangumburi Crater has been designated as a Natural Monument. It is located on the southeast side of Jeju and is a flat crater, about 650 meters wide, 100 meters deep, and 2,070 meters in circumference. If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium

Songak mountain
Songak mountain is part of the Olle trails. The 2-plus kilometer trail is a beautiful but slightly challenging trail with ups and downs, wind and sun. There are a lot of horses on the way for kids to enjoy. Songak mountain is also part of Korea's Dark tourism that holds a dark history.

Yongmeori Coast
Not far from the Songak mountain path lies The Yongmeori Coast. The Yongmeori Coast got its name because the beach looks like a dragon that is jumping into the ocean with its head raised (“Yong” means dragon and “Meori” means head in Korean). The ticket to see the coast was 2000 ₩. Yongmeori is a sandstone bed created by layers of sand that have been deposited for tens of millions of years. The mysterious scenery of the coast is enough to make anyone who witnesses it exclaim in wonder.

Osulloc tea plantation
Osulloc tea museum and tea garden together with Innisfree is a must-travel destination in Jeju. Osulloc tea garden has pristine tea fields surrounding the area. Anyone who has never seen a tea plantation will have fun and plenty of photo opportunities in the area. The cakes and teas at the tea garden are out of this world. We had sesame cream cake that was shaped like Jeju volcanic rock and OMG was that delicious. Try the green tea matcha tea when there or buy one of the many matcha treats from the shop next to the museum.

Jeongbang waterfalls are a mighty creation of nature. The waterfall is beautiful and the only one in East Asia that falls into the sea. That reason alone is worth the visit as this is a special sight to be seen. The entry to the waterfalls is only 2000W and can be accessed quickly from Seogwipo city.

Aewol Cafe street promenade
Aewol is what you would expect a paradise is, the emerald blue waters and a chill vibe are what you can expect. Two of the most beautiful beaches are around this area. We took a path running next to the sea, what struck me were the volcanic rock formations that run across the seaside.

Saebyeol Oreum Volcanic Cone:
With the southern peak as its summit, the volcanic cone had ridges to the southwest, northwest, and northeast. The western side is open widely in the shape of a Samtaegi (straw basket) to the north. There are 5 peaks that resemble a round asterisk. The volcanic cone is generally covered in grass, though the northern slope is partially covered in scrubs, and there is a cemetery on the northwestern slope.
