The Long March Documentary Episode One: Heroic Spirit

The Long March was a series of epic journeys undertaken by various units of the Red Army between October 1934 and October 1936. Threatened with annihilation by Kuomintang forces, they were determined to preserve their strength and head north to confront the Japanese invasion. And so, the Central Red Army, the 25th Army Group and the 4th Front Red Army, along with the main units of the 2nd and 6th Army Groups, left their bases. Led by the Communist Party of China, they embarked on one of the greatest military exploits in human history.
