Be a Smart Shopper – A Life Skills Activity

A fun and engaging Life Skills Activity – “Be a Smart Shopper” was conducted for students of L.K.G. to Grade II on 14th November 2025. A vibrant shopping mart was created with exciting stalls like Green Grocer, Toys, Stationery, and Confectionery. Children were given a fixed budget and play currency to help them practise making smart shopping choices.

They explored each stall, compared prices, and selected items within their limits while learning to pay using both cash and a scanner. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their decision-making and budgeting skills but also strengthened important numeracy concepts including number recognition, counting, simple addition, subtraction, and value comparison.
