I took a shot at Lagos street food with the biggest food critic in Nigeria Opeyemi. Can you guess what I tried? Peppered turkey with fried yam, paired with Fura da Nono the popular Northern Nigerian yogurt drink.
The turkey wasn’t as spicy as I expected, but it was tasty. I’d rate it 6.5/10. The Fura da Nono was smooth and refreshing , I give it a 7/10.
I had a brief chat with the vendor, and it was sad to hear how the rising cost of goods is affecting their sales. The hustle is real.
