Could have been a 2'03 if I hadn't done some slight mistakes here and there, but otherwise I'm good with this run for now - the room for error is still tight even with the wider track space.
The Platinum time here is actually a 2'07''81, so me going specifically for a sub 2'05 in order to properly dethrone my 2.3 PB was completely extra from my part lmao
The sliptide at the start is necessary because its the one way I can regain speed way faster after that one big off-road patch on the first lap, and obviously you will lose time if you don't go for the tri-dashes on those first two spring jumps.
Still had to apply good ol' brakedrifting for those conveyer hairpins but had a more consistent time with the final turns.
And yes, despite the track being scaled up, you can still go as fast if not even faster than the times in 2.3 because of the handling tweaks + being able to use a sliptide at the start to save a wavedash.
