Summer is in full swing here on one of Japan's remote southern islands!

Welcome back to Inaka Vibes,our channel where we share slices of our daily life here!

Typhoons far out to sea have brought fun waves without the bad weather to the island.A welcome gift for surfers like us.

Rice harvesting has begun,it happens earlier here being a southern island filling the fields with golden beauty(and sadly higher prices too).We enjoy roasting coffee beans ourselves and buy them raw in bulk(price has also gone up!!).We even made some coffee jelly,another ideal summer treat.Our kind neighbor gifted us more watermelons,too much for us so we've started freezing pieces and making tasty smoothies,our Daughter sure does love them!

We enjoyed dry curry for dinner using our homegrown vegetables(well,the ones our Daughter didn't eat while helping out!).

Even with the little ups and downs,ferry delays,rising prices and new challenges,life here is full of small joys and we're grateful for every bit of it!
