In February 2024, a bush fire destroyed most of our farmland, leaving years of planting in ashes. After months of staying away, we’re finally returning to the land to start again.
In this first episode (Day 0), I walk through the cleared areas, inspecting the land, and preparing to replant fruit trees. There’s no talking — just the natural sounds of the land, footsteps, and the quiet work of clearing.
“Land doh rotten” — as the old folks used to say. The land waits for us, and today marks the beginning of our journey to bring it back to life.
This is a story of patience, resilience, and hope, captured in real-time as we attempt to restore our farm.
