Who is Ali Sadpara, a man who plays with dangers?



Muhammad Ali Sadpara, 44, of Sadpara, a small village in Skardu, used to sit at his father's shoe store with many aspirations in his heart, but a thought and a dream changed his whole life.

And one day he set out to find the meaning of his dreams.

Ali's madness and dream were, in fact, to fly the flag of Pakistan on the high peaks of the mountains covered with snow and talking to the sky.

There are 14 mountains in the world with an altitude of 8,000 meters or more and Ali Sadpara has climbed seven of the highest peaks.

He also has the honor of being the first Pakistani to climb the Nanga Parbat, popularly known as the Killer Mountain, a feat accomplished by Ali Sadpara in 2016.

Pakistani climbers have so far climbed K2 (8611), Gasherbrum I (8080), Gasherbrum II (8034), Nanga Parbat (8126) and Broad (8051).

But who knew that this journey of 2021 will be the last one and that the snow would hide Ali Sadpara living in the mountains somewhere in its embrace?

Muhammad Ali Sadpara and two comrades continued their campaign after scaling K2 for the first time in history in winter. But on his return, Nishan Kahin was lost and Ali Sadpara, along with his two companions John Sunori and JP Mohar, could not be seen again.

Now every hope, every supplication, every prayer, every waiting has been exhausted, as the chances of their survival are pretty slim.

What he said still echoes in my ears: “If I get lost in these mountains, you should not worry.” “We will build a house in the snow and return.”

The news of Ali's return did not come, but every eye is full of tears. Everyone prays that maybe Ali Sadpara will return from somewhere.
