Jordan Mackampa now feels at home with his music, with his artistic work, and with himself as a person. He presents his velvety-soft vocals with the self-confidence of a musician who has mastered his craft. Hard-working and ambitious, he has never left the stage since first stepping onto it in his youth. And Jordan Mackampa’s journey has not always been easy: He studied music, found his voice, went to therapy, got in touch with his inner child, and released his first album during the coronavirus pandemic. ‘I want to create music that adds to what’s missing in the musical landscape’ – that’s how the Londoner describes his approach to his work. And what was missing? His songs brought to life through visual art.

Maximiliane Wadler fills this blueprint with her artistic vision – and on the LED screen. The artist is able to create media productions, always using an interplay between scenography and motion design. She creates abstract spaces that develop into ever-new narratives using analogue approaches and digital image processing. Among other things, she uses AI-generated images as the basis for her visual worlds, in which technology and art merge to create a unique aesthetic experience. Jordan Mackampa meets Maximiliane Wadler: Bei Reeperbahn Festival Collide entsteht durch diese künstlerische Kollision eine Performance par excellence. 
Jordan Mackampa fühlt sich inzwischen wohl – mit seiner Musik, seinem künstlerischen Schaffen. Mit seiner Person. Er präsentiert seine samtweichen Vocals mit dem Selbstbewusstsein eines Musikers, der sein Handwerk beherrschtFleißig und ambitioniert hat er die Bühne nie wieder verlassen, seit er sie in seiner Jugend das erste Mal betrat. . Jordan Mackampas Weg dahin ist nicht immer einfach: Er studierte Musik, fand seine Stimme, begab sich in Therapie, traf sein inneres Kind, veröffentlichte sein erstes Album noch zu Coronazeiten. „I want to create music that adds to what’s missing in the musical landscape”, beschreibt der Londoner den Zugang zu seinem Werk. Unter anderem benutzt sie KI-generierte Bilder als Grundlage für ihre visuellen Welten, in denen Technologie und Kunst zu einer einzigartigen ästhetischen Erfahrung verschmelzen.
