Roots Everywhere! Why I Had to Repot My Elephant Garlic

I didn’t expect this much root growth… but my elephant garlic forced my hand.
These were started in smaller pots, and the roots were already bursting out of the bottom. In this video, I pot them on into much larger containers and explain why giving roots space now matters for strong growth later.

This is a simple but important winter task if you’re growing garlic in pots or under cover.
