I've been wanting to draw a new header for myself, so this seemed like the perfect time to try some try something new as well. I've been wanting to try an almost mythical or stained glass-like look, and this is the result!
The reason it took so long to draw was because I was trying many different methods to achieve the look I want. This is very noticeable in places like the eyes or the cloud trim. At first, I shaded each eye differently, then picked the one I thought looked better. It took me three different attempts to figure out how I wanted to shade the clouds.
It was very fun to draw, and I look forward to exploring this style more. You can expect to see more in the future!
