Super Mario Land (1989) - World 1: Birabuto Kingdom - Walkthrough - GameBoy

Welcome in the mythical and magical Sarasaland of GameBoy's Super Mario Land! It has been attacked by an evil space alien named Tatanga, who hypnotized the inhabitants. He took control over Sarasaland and kidnaped Princess Daisy. Will Mario manage to find her and bring peace back to the country?

World 1 is the Birabuto Kingdom, a large desert with pyramids obviously based on Ancient Egypt.

Not the best run by any means but no loss of life at least! Scored 51,190 points and ended up with 11 lives.

In World 1-3 section, I am showing how to go on top of the screen (4:45) to gather the coins and also showing the method to go through a way only Small Mario is supposed to go (6:35): keep arrow down pressed and hit repetitively the right arrow. it takes a long time but this strategy sometimes worth it if the objective is to gather a lot of coins.

Boss King Totomesu (7:51) is a relatively easy one, a nasty sphinx that fell under Tatanga's control... It can be just avoided but killing it worth 5,000 points!

For easier capture, it was played through the Super Nintendo / Super Famicom Super Game Boy with a standard SNES controller. It feels weirds, different responsiveness from handheld device (GameBoy DMG Original, Pocket or Advance SP)... Please do comment to advise!
