About the lyrics:
They are verses taken from the Völuspá, the best known poem of the Poetic Edda. In these stanzas, a völva (female seer) describes the state of humanity. If you're a fan of the TV series Vikings, you might remember Floki shouting these very same verses just before starting the siege of Paris.
