Prof. Michael Werba is principal bassoonist with the Vienna Philharmonic. He is the recipient of the Medal of Honor of the Province of Salzburg, the Honorary Ring of the Vienna Philharmonic and was awarded the professional title of "Professor" in 2005. Since 1994 he has been the initiator and musical director of the concert series "Philharmonia Cycle Mödling" as well as chairman of this same association.
