2 Days Visiting the Historical Capital of Vietnam Hue

Hey everyone,

In April 2023, In April 2023, we spent 3-week in Vietnam where we visited the north and the center of the country. This video will be about our Fifth stop, Hue, the historical capital of Vietnam where we stayed around 2 days.

We spent 3 nights in Hue in order to have 2 full days there. It was the perfect amount of time to discover the beauties of this city.

The first day, we started by walking along the Perfume River to get to the Imperial citadel. Once in the citadel we spent 2h plus hanging around and visiting stunning palaces, buildings, shrines and so on…

From there, we walked to the Dong Ba market, an open flea market nearby. It was MASSIVE!!!

After a delicious lunch and a small nap, we rented a scooter and drove to the Thien Mu Pagoda, the emblem of Hue. And after that to the temple of literature, the Tu Dam temple, the Phủ Cam Cathedral and the An Dinh Palace.

The second day will be a tombs day, starting with the furthest away, the Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang followed by the Mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh. To make a break of the tombs we also explored the Thuy Tien lake Abandoned Water Park.

In the afternoon, we kept on with the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, the viewpoint of Vong Canh Hill, and to finish the Từ Hiếu Pagoda.
