Method of Construction of PSC I Girder

Site ka survey, level checking aur girder alignment final kiya jata hai.

Casting bed ko clean, level aur compact karke shuttering set karne layak banaya jata hai.

3. #ShutteringAndMouldSetup
I-girder ke dimension ke hisab se steel shuttering/mould ko assemble kiya jata hai.

4. #ReinforcementFixing
Main reinforcement, stirrups, diaphragm steel aur insert plates ko drawing ke hisab se fix kiya jata hai.

5. #PrestressingDuctInstallation
HDPE/Metal ducts ko alignment maintain karte hue tie karke place kiya jata hai.

6. #StrandInsertion
Prestressing strands ko ducts ke through insert kiya jata hai aur anchorage zone me lock kiya jata hai.

7. #ConcretePouring
Approved design mix ka concrete boom placer / TM se pour kiya jata hai. Proper compaction aur finishing ki jati hai.

8. #CuringProcess
Girder ko minimum 7 days tak curing diya jata hai — wet curing / membrane curing dono use hote hain.

9. #PrestressingOperation
Required strength milne ke baad jack se strand ko tension kiya jata hai aur anchorage plates me lock kiya jata hai.

10. #GirderLaunchingOrShifting
Prestressing complete hone ke baad girder ko launch gantry / crane ki help se pier ke upar shift aur place kiya jata hai.

The casting bed is cleaned, leveled, compacted, and prepared for shuttering installation.

Steel moulds/shuttering are assembled according to the girder dimensions.

Main reinforcement, stirrups, diaphragm steel, and insert plates are fixed as per drawings.

5. #PrestressingDuctInstallation
HDPE/metal ducts are positioned and tied properly while maintaining correct alignment.

6. #StrandInsertion
Prestressing strands are inserted through the ducts and locked at the anchorage end.

7. #ConcretePouring
Approved design mix concrete is poured using a boom placer/transit mixer with proper compaction and finishing.

8. #CuringProcess
Curing is provided for a minimum of 7 days using wet curing or membrane curing methods.

9. #PrestressingOperation
After achieving target strength, strands are tensioned using jacks and locked with anchorage plates.

10. #GirderLaunchingOrShifting
Once prestressing is complete, the girder is shifted and launched onto the piers using a crane or launching gantry.
