Year 3 of dedicating a drum cover to Vinnie Paul on the anniversary of his death, and this time, I wanted to include his brother Dimebag Darrell as well. These two were a fucking force together and they knew it! Vin's solid right foot and Dime's thick ass heavy riffs made these two the gods of heavy metal in the mid-90s. I still will never forget the first time hearing Walk on MTV's Headbangers Ball and listening to it non-stop in high school.

This track has been sitting in my "To Work On" folder since 2018. We've attempted to cover this song in the past and an old shitty copy is still floating around on Soundcloud somewhere, if you can find it. 🤣😂 I am not posting it because it's pretty damn bad. 🫣🤣 This time, I put in the work to learn everything on this song 100% properly but I did struggle with the double time section and did alter the kick pattern at little. Did you even notice? 🤘😎🤘

Now onto the kit. I've always liked my previous Pantera kit for the Drag the Waters cover. I threw that preset into this project but it wasn't sounding quite right. The kick and snare were very close but the rest required some additional tweaks. This time I tried to stick mainly in The Rock Foundry SDX but did dip into the Core SD3 Library for some hi-hats and additional ride cymbal layer. This one came out way better than I could of imagined!
